History of Rieker Shoes and Range of Varieties

Rieker shoes have reached a wider range of people from all over the world. This company was established in the city of Tuttlingen by Carl Seitz and Heinrich Rieker, under the name “Rieker & Seitz”, 130 years before. In the year 1901, Carl Seitz left this company and so his name was opted out of the name of the company. Heinrich died in the year 1905, after which his sons Karl, Ernst and Heinrich took over the management of this shoe company.

This company grew bigger by the year 1969 and so the company had to be divided into three divisions to help it function in an effective manner. This company employed more than 2,000 workers inside their factories and offices. The members of the Rieker family became the heads of those three parts of the company. One company produced ski boots and was headed by Justus R. it was soon dissolved. The second company was headed by Kurt R and was made to focus on the expansion and production of gents and ladies sports shoes. This particular division was based in Tuttlingen. The third part of the company was headed by Roland R. This division has been transferred to Donaueschigen town and focuses mainly on manufacturing and selling children’s shoes.

At present, this company is even now based in Tuttlingen in Germany, although the headquarters of this company is in Thayngen, Switzerland. The products of this company are sold in more than 7,500 retailers present in various parts of the Europe continent. This company has now employed more than 12,000 people in its different offices, factories and sales departments, worldwide.

Rieker shoes are said to be made for men and women and are available in a wide range of varieties to choose from.
